RIZZBAY
Safety
RizzBay makes the introduction. What happens next is between you and the person on the other end, so here is how to make sure it goes well.
Guidance, not advice. Read it before your first hire.
Before you agree anything
Treat the first exchange like any other deal with someone you have not met.
- Check the listing is verified. The badge means we have seen identification and evidence the owner can hire the asset out. It does not mean we have inspected it.
- Look at who you are talking to. Owners can see a creator's handle and profile link. Creators can see an owner's storefront, response rate and reviews.
- Agree the essentials in writing before anyone travels: dates, hours, price, what is included, deposit, who is insured for what, cancellation, and who owns the content.
- Keep the first conversation on the platform or on email so there is a record.
Deposits
Deposits are normal for supercars, property and anything fragile. Agree the amount, what it covers, how it is held and when it comes back, in writing. Pay deposits to the owner's business account, not to an individual you cannot verify, and never to anyone claiming to be RizzBay. We never take payment for hires.
Insurance
Ask what cover the owner holds and what they expect you to hold. For vehicles, ask whether you will be driving or driven, who is a named driver, and what the excess is. For property and studios, ask about public liability and equipment. Short-term hire and production insurance exists and is not expensive; if you shoot regularly it is worth having your own. Owners should state their requirements in the listing's insurance note and not hand over keys until they are met.
NDAs and content
Some owners ask for a non-disclosure agreement, usually about the location or the identity of the owner. Read it before you sign it. Separately, agree who owns the content produced, whether the owner can reuse it, and whether the location can be tagged. Write it down.
Meeting safely
- Tell someone where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Meet at the asset's location or a business premises, in daylight, for a first visit.
- Bring someone with you if you can. A crew of two is safer and the content is usually better.
- Trust the feeling. If something is off, leave. No piece of content is worth it.
- Owners: ask for identification before handing over keys or access, and keep a copy for the hire period.
If something goes wrong
Report the listing or profile using the button on the page, and email hello@rizzbay.com with what happened. We look at every report, hide listings with several open reports, and remove owners who are not what they claimed. For anything involving a crime, damage or injury, contact the police and your insurer first; RizzBay is not able to resolve disputes between you and an owner, recover deposits or arrange compensation.
